The video is “a documentary on creative coding that explores the role that ideas such as process, experimentation and algorithm play in this creative field featuring artists, designers and code enthusiasts.”
It’s worth watching through if you code or create art, or both, and maybe you do both and don’t realize it. :)
This was the promo video (best watched in HD) for a car I modeled and scripted in Second Life a long time ago. I sold many and the money went to charity in real life. It came with a straight 6 but you could upgrade it with a v8. I programmed it so the rev limits, vehicle weight, engine power and shift points were stored by the engine model, so changing the engine out changed the way the car drove. The transmission worked and you could select manual transmission or automatic. The automatic trasmission was the most fun to code. I built the dry lakes landscape for another project, but had fun with the cars there. Second Life was amazing for making anything you wanted.
