The lion and the unicorn
A 1959 Edsel and A 2012 Mustang. I don’t think you can get two more opposite cars in the Ford spectrum. Undoubtedly one of Ford’s great successes and their biggest flop. I enjoy them both.
Tinkering with the Edsel. FE big block, Holley 4150. rarrrr. Needs a good cleaning for sure.
Edsel
So the Edsel has been in storage for a long time and isn’t running as well as it could be. It ended up stuck on the street in front of my house, but a VERY kind neighbor loaned me the battery from his car, and the two of us had the Edsel in the garage in a few minutes. Phew. So, the carburator is all out of whack and the battery is bad, and the choke has never quite done much. So I might as well tackle all these things now. FUN! (no really, fun, not being sarcastic) Current plan: new battery and vacuum gauge to get the fuel mixture right. I am still recovering from this flu/bug thing, so it will have to wait til the weekend…
The Edsels… They’re coming
Indeed. My Edsel is one tire away from coming home. Coker tire is being a bit of a pain, but I think they’re simply behind the technological times. They wanted to fax the tire return slip. What year is it again? Nvm, let me check my beeper while you fax that to me.

As a side note, my Mustang has picked up the nickname Hanna and has stuck:

The Edsel coming out of the garage last year. Having been parked for years, the brakes had seized and the car needed to be towed out. It was a brand new tow truck on it’s first job. The tow truck used a wireless remote that worked like a wii-mote. It was neato.
